Villa Cycas is a modern holiday house with private swimming pool in the best
beach resort of Cyprus: Protaras. Among its nicest features is its location: in
walking distance to the restaurants and pubs of down town Protaras holiday
resort, but still far enough to be quiet and private. The beautiful beaches of
Protaras, Fig Tree bay, Sunrise beach and Pernera are all within 10 minutes
walk. The house has a very nice new pool and has a very large sun deck and
garden area. The house is situated on a private road in a quiet complex of 5
houses.
There are two bedrooms (one with Dux-bed) and a bathroom on the second
floor and a third bedroom downstairs that, if not used, can be opened up to
extend the living area. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. The living room opens
up completely to the back garden with very nice view over the fields and hills
where every night a beautiful sunset can be enjoyed. In the cooler season this
room is like an atrium, warm and light. It has a large spacious and modern
kitchen, with fitted bar/dining table.
Many restaurants, pubs and bars are nearby the house but far enough to be
quiet and private. Beaches can be walked to unless one is poor physical shape.
There are walking trails long the beaches. The Ayios Elias church on top of the
hill in Protaras is lid at night and gives a nice view from the house. There are
bike paths. Bikes, motorbikes and cars can be rented from very near rental
locations. A supermarket is very close by, as well as small kiosks that are open
day and night. The nearest larger town is Paralimni, which is about 5 km driving
by car. There is a water park in nearby Ayia Napa, which is about 10 minutes by
car. This holiday town also offers many attractions including a very busy night
life. Such locations can be reach by car of taxi or even a bus. There are also day
safari trips from Protaras to the mountains of Cyprus.
The way to Villa Cycas (from Larnaca airport):
1 - From the airport enter the motorway and follow the signs to Agia Napa. If
there is no sign to Agia Napa, follow first the signs to Nicosia. But at some point
the motorway to Nicosia splits off, and by then you must be seeing signs for
Agia Napa. Follow these signs to Agia Napa.
2 - Follow the motorway (A3) for about 45 minutes until you pass Agia Napa on
your right hand.
3 - Don't take the exit for Agia Napa but continue towards Paralimni / Protaras.
4 - The motorway ends at a big roundabout, where you go left (see map).
5 - After this, go straight at the next roundabout and then right at the
roundabout after this.
6 - Go straight at the next roundabout.
7 - Continue straight until the end of this (four-lane) road. This is a T-crossing
with a traffic light. There you turn right.
8 - Then follow this two-lane road about 500 meter. You pass a petrol station
on your right and a road on your left (but go straight)
9 - After this you see a taverna (restaurant) called Elias Tavern on your right
(nice local food, by the way, also for take-away)
10 - The next proper road (with asphalt), about 100 meters after the taverna, is
on your right. This is the private road of Villa Cycas and 4 other houses. It is a
small road, you can easily miss it. Opposite the entrance to the private road is a
Kiosk that is open 24 hours. There is a DIY shop on the corner
11 - Villa Cycas is the second house, with a wooden fence
