Villa La Pazziella is great for a family vacation,for an absolutely relaxation
period in a real quite and still unspoiled country ,and although being in a
rural area is a perfect base to visit Rome,( 45 minutes by car , )and all the
most interesting places of Latium (Viterbo, Assisi) Umbria (Orvieto) and
Toscany ( Siena Arezzo) all reachable in one day excursion

Villa La Pazziella is located in Selci in Sabina an agricultural landscape as
beautiful as Tuscany and Umbria but still undiscovered and less known, and so,
much ,cheaper and less touristy. On first floor there are 2 bedrooms (one king,
one double bed) with large bathroom. On the ground floor a large dining sitting
room with fireplace , a kithcen , an exclusive suite ( 70 sq mt.)with an ensuite
bathroom with king size shower and a veranda with sofa and table.A guest
bathroom completes the ground floor. Outside a confortable kitchen with barbeque
and large panoramic dining area

Whitin a 20 minutes car drive there are plenty of medieval villages on the top
of the rolling hills and valleys : Casperia,Farfa Abbey,Vacone Vescovio
Roccantica.and each one is a piece of antique history .The villa has been built
in an absolutely quiet positions sorrounded by olive trees and wineyards and
overlooks the valley of River Tiber , the hilltop village of Forano and the
historic Mount Soratte that the latin poet Orazio described in his poems .

It is situated on an area of approximately 7000 square metres surrounded by a
large garden with a private swimming pool ( m.9.20 per 5).It sleeps 6 in 3
bedrooms ( one master bedroom ) one double ( pull out bed,) on the first,floor,
one suite bedroom with the ground floor.,2 bathrooms , a living room with
fireplace, and kitchen on the ground floor.Although tastefully furnished with
antiques in Italian style ( the owners are art collectors) it still keeps the
atmosphere of a rustic castle as it was built with local materials in total
respect of the environment)

The large outside kitchen just behind the panoramic front porch allows guests
to enjoy the quiet estate and relax with a glass of wine in a lovely sunset.The

Latium is the birthplace of the antique Etruscan civilization and afterwards of
the great Roman Empire.It is a blend of different cultures that followed one to
another and that can be discovered all over the region:Tarquinia with the
Etruscan tombs and the National Etruscan Musem, Tivoli with the gorgeous Villa
of Emperor Adriano, Viterbo the Pope town and excellent example of medieval
architecture . Rome of course gathers all the different historical periods in
the highest artistic expression. The climate is mild and allows to enjoy the
different seasons in the best way. A car is highly reccomended and a detailed
map or a GPS navigator will be of great help.Possible itineraries and more
specific tips will be suggested on arrival.

Selci

.Selci is a small medieval hilltop village ( 1000 inhabitants) built in the XI
th century . Though at only 45 minutes from Rome it is still a mainly
agricoltural village with wineyards and olive grove,and it is famous for its
tipical food and DOP oil production .All around there are still undiscovered
artistic treasures to visit:

Farfa famous Benedictin Abbey and small village, 30 minutes away

Casperia, hilltop village with mostly pedestrian streets, and a beautiful view
of the hills around 20 minutes

Vescovio Romanic church with ancient frescoes of old and new testament
histories, built near the old roman market of Forum -Novum 10 minutes
