Want to know the history and present of the Dalmatian hinterland and to
participate in its future? No doubt the answer is yes, and therefore we
offer a villa Tripalo.
It is located in the center of Sinj, only 100 meters from the main city
square, Pijaca. It was built in the Art Nouveau style of the 20s of the last
century, and is dedicated to the Croatian politician Anti Miki Tripalo,
leader of the Croatian Spring, whose bust adorns the entrance to the
villa. It is a protected cultural monument and has a status of a cultural
good.
Once a house of a rich Sinj Tripalo family, and today a holiday house for
selected guests, is a high house with a basement. A large park is
surrounded by a wall, and as the villa itself is located on a large estate of
4000 m2, you will have peace and quiet. Glass-covered porch provides a
country-style house, and gazebo, once used for small animals, is located
in the garden.
The reconstruction of this monumental building was intended to
rehabilitate its original appearance in what is largely succeeded: the
appearance of the interior whose rooms were painted with geometric and
vegetation samples is returned, and stylish furniture built in the Baroque
and Empire stiles will make you feel like some count or emperor. The
house is decorated with masterpieces by eminent Croatian painters and
sculptors.
Salon or dining room and kitchen in one has a light blue color that will
completely relax you. In the white kitchen there is a table where you
can eat, and three bedrooms with double beds will offer you every
comfort as they contain and bathroom. Study room with a library will
gladden you, and the fact that all rooms are equipped with the technical
and modern standards: air conditioning, satellite TV, home theater
system…
If you have a large family or group of friends, there is a guest house
(additional 2 pax) with a covered swimming pool which can be heated in
winter. It consists of kitchen / dining room / living room, bedroom and
bathroom. In the basement are sauna with shower, gym, massage room,
billiards and a wine bar.
We recommend that you choose this villa in August when Alka, the
competition of the knights, and the celebration of the Assumption, are
happening. You will have the opportunity, in addition to visiting local
attractions (Alka Halls, Museum of Sinj Alka, Museum of Cetina region)
to enjoy the culinary delights of this region: arambašići, prosciutto,
cheese, roast lamb, fried frog, duck in sauce made in the Sinj way …
