Description

The Cottage has a scenic location at the end of the road. An ideal location with
fantastic nature experiences in the wilderness. Experience spectacular views
over the never ending forest or discover fresh tracks from the wildlife
(Elk/Moose, Wolf, Deer, Lynx, Marten, Wood Hare, Fox and Grouse are the most
common species to run into in the woods). Do some bird watching at the woodland
lakes, pick berrys and mushrooms or just wander the forests. A number of hiking
trails are also situated close by, among others: Butorpsleden (starting at the
cottage), Pinoleden, Säternrundan. During winter skiing is also an option.
Either cross country locally or downhill skiing at the close by Dömlebacken. In
the village of Butorp you can also go fishing for Trout in the fish pond, ride
horses or why not sample some of the local produce? The Cottage is also situated
close to Mårbacka.
Big yard and with a nice barbecue pit.
Pets are allowed on the ground floor, but no excrements are to be left behind in
the yard. Cleaning of the house can be provided, but must be booked in advance
while making the reservation for the Cottage. If cleaning is not performed (or
unsatisfactory) the guest will be charged for cleaning plus a penalty fee of 500
SEK.

An English speaking local can be available to accompany on walks as a
“Wilderness Guide”

Road Description

Follow road 62 from Karlstad, 40 km north. Make a left turn following the sign
to "Olsäter". After passing through Olsäter, follow the sign towards "Butorp"
and "Älvsbacka". When in Butorp there will be a sign for Björnvålsfallet.
