Our house is located in the village Prines 5 km from Rethymnon. The village is
full of local
atmosphere and is surrounded by olive trees and orange trees. Prines is an
authentic
and protected village, the neighbors are friendly and it is very quiet. The
house is from around
1800, the building style is Turkish and is approx. 100 m2. There is an enclosed
patio (Avli)
and a roof terrace. The house has 3 bedrooms, kitchen and new bathroom. The
house has 6 beds,
kitchen with microwave, kettle, etc.. washing machine and air conditioning. The
house is spacious.

In Prines there are 2 taverns, 2 supermarkets and a butcher. Atsipopoulo is a
village one
kilometer from Prines where there are several restaurants, bakeries and cafes.
The villages
Metoxia and Gonia lies close by and in Gonia you can find one of the area's best
restaurants.

There is local bus service 11 times a day to Rethymnon and between the local
villages.

Road Description

Drive from Chania / Heraklion along the national road towards Rethymnon and turn
right towards
Atsipopoulo and drive along the old national road approx. 2 km from Atsipopoulo
and about. 1 km
after you will arrive at Prines. Stop by the square and a local guide shows the
way to the house
and help with the practical.
