The house is located in an area with exceptional local wines. Historic
environment, good restaurants nearby. All amenities, restaurants and
supermarkets in Axat 6km or in Quillan 16km away. Beaches
within 1 hours' drive.

Cailla is located in the region which is home to many legends, such as the
Cathars, Templars, Visigoths treasures from Rome, to name just a few.
The authors Kate Mosse and Kathleen McGowan, with books like, Labyrinth, The
Sepulchre, Winter ghosts, and Citadell and The Expected one, describes the
environment in a most vivid way.

Who has not heard of Renne le Chateau (Da Vinci Code, Saunière) Montsegur,
Fortresses high up on the mountain tops? Renne is only 20 minutes by car from
Cailla.

Road to the sea are dotted with vineyards, famous for its Languedoc-Roussillon
region wine. Once out at the coast you can find mile after mile with sandy
beaches. If you go up to the sea lagoons north of Narbonned, you can perhaps
see a Flamingo going and looking for food that gives the bird its famous pink
colour.

If you instead go north you come to the UNESCO knight bourg 'La Cite' of
Carcassonne it is only 55 km away.
