Description

Kalmar Sjömanshem hostel is located in the city center of Kalmar only three
minutes from the beach called "Kattrumpan" and provides a good and ffordable
accommodation with self-catering in our newly renovated and well-
equipped guest kitchen. During the wintertime students from Kalmar Maritime
Academy lives at the seaman home and during summertime the apartments are
available for rental.

Kalmar is a beautiful city which comes to life during summer with live music
and theater. The city is beautifully located by the sea, close to the island
Öland which is also a popular place to visit.

Kalmar hostel offer rooms in different sizes that are divided into two categories, with and without shower and toilet in the room. Showers and
toilets are located close to the rooms if one choose a room without it. All
rooms are non-smoking and pet-free.

You can bring your own sheets and towels or rent it from us. We warmly
welcome our guests to make their own breakfast in the newly renovated guest
kitchen and eat in our lovely garden. For those who wish can also choose to
dine out at nearby cafes and restaurants.

In the garden there is plenty of room for games that you can borrow from us.
Barbecues and accessories are also available to borrow.

Important information:
* The reception is open between 9:00 to 13:00, 14:00 to 18:00 Monday to
Friday and from 10:00 to 17:00 Saturday and Sunday.
*Check in between 15:00-18:00 and check out before 11:00 if nothing else is
agreed.
*The hostel needs to be informed if you want to check in later than 18:00
otherwise your room reservation will be canceled.

Road Description

From road E22 follow signs towards Öland and road 137. Leave road 137 at the
sign “Trafikplats Tallhagen” and go towards central Kalmar. The hostel is
located next to Kalmar County Museum in the harbor.
