Description

In the eighteenth and nineteenth century La Pomme d'Or was a simple
farm.
Today the property consists of three buildings, The Guesthouse, The Stable
and The Gatehouse. The oldest building is The Guesthouse. It is a charming
rustic house where once the farmer lived with his family. The Stable is the
original barn. It has been converted into a modern studio. The Stable also
houses a small art gallery we call The Barn. The Gatehouse is a nineteeth
century addition to property.
The three farmhouses are of high standard, having been completely
restored with all modern ammenities without losing any of its old rustic charm.
The estate sleeps a total of 16 guests, with the possibility to put in an extra
bed or a cot in some rooms.
The Guesthouse is the largest of our available accommodation. It is a
spacious 120 square metres and sleeps up to nine guests.
Part of the old stable has been renovated into a well-equipped studio
apartment.
The studio sleeps four guests.Gatehouse. The third floor of this building
houses a large room that sleeps four to five guests.
There is a large garden with a pool and several terraces with barbecue
facilities .
Our oasis farm is located in the small village La Chapelle Moulière,
beautifully situated between the river Vienne and the Moulière Forest. In the
village you will find a restaurant and bar that offer a selection of local
dishes. The village also has a tennis court and a place where you can play
boule.

Road Description

La Pomme d’ Or is situated in the little village La Chapelle Moulière in the
area of Vienne south of the Loire Valley. The village is situated in a triangle
between the regions’ capital Poitiers, Châtellerault and the medieval town
Chauvigny, all reachable by car in 10 to 20 minutes. We are 320 km
southwest of Paris and 240 km northeast of Bordeaux.
